Queenstown NZ

Hello Roamers,

Queenstown in New Zealand has been ranked twelfth in the top 25 destinations across the Asia Pacific, falling one spot behind Sydney.

The city moved three places up from last year and was voted in as the only New Zealand destination in the top Asia Pacific destinations list at this year’s Travellers Choice Awards.

Best Beach awards

Hello Roamers,

TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site, today announced the winners of its first-ever ‘Best Beach awards’. In a boost for Sunshine Coast tourism, Noosa and Mooloolaba beaches were named in the top 10 best beaches in the South Pacific for 2011. Noosa was voted as the third best beach in the world and Mooloolaba was named as tenth.
I wonder what the criteria was as I know a lot of beaches I would much prefer to either of the above. However let’s hope it increases tourism to the area after the recent weather events in Qld.

Cheers
